Connection to Family Time: Founded Family Time Training in 1999. Kirk is a former Family Time Team leader and has led more than 550 Family Time activities in his home. Kirk leads more than 80 trainings a year on the topic of spiritual training in the home.


Julie Kurz

Julie and her husband David have been married for 38 years and reside in Englewood, Colorado. They currently attend Denver Community Church and Julie works for the Evangelical Free Church as a consultant where she shares her passion for passing on the faith to the next generation.

Julie and David have 3 children, all grown and married and have been blessed with three grandchildren. Her life verse is Psalm 71:18 ‘even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.'


Ron Brenning

Ron and his wife Karen have been married for 35 years and live in Centennial, Colorado. They have four children and three grandchildren. Ron is currently serving at Grace Chapel and has been a pastor for 35 years. He has trained in both the areas of marriage and parenting ministry and is passionate to see parents with the right resources so they can spiritually influence their children and teens .


Scott Turansky

Scott has been married to Carrie for 32 years. They have five children and three grandchildren. Scott is the founder and president of National Center for Biblical Parenting (NCBP) and pastor of Calvary Chapel Mercer County in New Jersey. He has written several books including, Parenting is Heart Work. Scott is a sought after speaker at conferences and events around the country. He has been connected with Family Time for about six years. His personal mission comes right from the Bible: to love the Lord with all heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love others as self.
 


Annie Waterman

Annie has been married to her husband, Lance, for 17 years. They have two children and are entering the teen years of parenting! Annie has served as the Children's Ministry Director at Colorado Community Church in Aurora for the last 4 years.

Annie is passionate about teaching parents to be the primary spiritual leaders of their kids and LOVES providing resources for these parents to be successful.


Bill Evert

Bill and his wife, Kirsten, have been married for 17 years. They have three children from age 9 - 13 years old. Bill works as a CPA and attends Colorado Community Church. Bill and his wife have been using Family Time Training materials for 10 years and even led a neighborhood Bible study.

Bill is passionate about teaching children about God and the Bible because that is the foundation of what family is about.


Mark Hallock

Mark has been married to his wife, Jenna for 12 years. They live in Littleton, Colorado with their children: Zoe, 9 and Elijah, 6. Mark is currently serving as the senior pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Englewood, Colorado. His history of ministry includes many years of Youth and Family Ministry.

Mark uses Family Time activities in his own home and is incorporating the principles into family ministry at the church he serves. He is passionate about sharing the gospel with the lost and showing God's love to those in need.

Kirk Weaver

Executive Director

Kirk Weaver has two children and has been doing Family Time lessons with his family since 1994. In 1999 Kirk founded a new ministry called Family Time Training. The ministry has averaged more than 80 trainings each year to 8,000+ family members. Kirk has written eight books containing Family Time object lessons including: Wiggles, Giggles & Popcorn; Seeing is Believing; Tried & True; Bible Stories for Preschoolers - Old Testament & New Testament.

In 2005 Family Time India was launched in the Indian states of Bihar, Delhi, Uttra Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. N.K. Thomas is the National Director for Family Time India. In 2011, Family Time did special trainings in both Malaysia and Singapore.

Prior to founding Family Time Training, Kirk worked with the development programs at Colorado Christian Home in Denver (10 years) and Epworth Children’s Home in St. Louis (8 years).

Kirk has earned degrees from Wheaton College and the University of Missouri. Between the years 1983 and 1991, Kirk pursued the hobby of mountain climbing and summitted numerous peaks including: Mt. McKinley in Alaska, Aconcagua in Argentina, Mt. Cook in New Zealand, and Chimborazo in Ecuador. He now lives in Littleton, Colorado and devotes his time to the greater challenge of raising his children in the faith.


Jenna Hallock

Administrative Assisant, Website and Scheduling Coordinator

Jenna Hallock started doing Family Time activities shortly after her daughter was born 9 years ago. Since then, she and her husband Mark have integrated Family Time into their regular schedule with both their children (Zoe, age 9 and Elijah, age 6). Mark and Jenna have been married for 12 years and live in Littleton, CO.

Jenna graduated from the University of Colorado in 2002 and enjoys being a “mostly” stay-at-home mom. Jenna and Mark are passionate about helping families to raise up Godly children who not only love the Lord, but put their faith into action.

When she is not tending to children, you’ll find her writing, volunteering, cooking, or gardening!
